JACQUIE WARD

(she/her)

Child and Family Psychologist

Jacquie is a registered psychologist with a deep passion for supporting children and their families. She is committed to a trauma-informed, neurodivergence-affirming approach, creating a safe and supportive space where all children feel seen, understood, and valued.

Her work is grounded in developmental psychology, attachment theory, and relational neuroscience, drawing inspiration from experts such as Dr. Ross Greene (Collaborative & Proactive Solutions) and Dr. Mona Delahooke (Polyvagal and neurobiological approaches to behaviour). She is currently engaged in a year-long professional development program with Robyn Gobbel, exploring ways to support children with 'big, baffling behaviours' through a relational neuroscience lens.

Jacquie supports children navigating anxiety, ADHD, Autism, emotional dysregulation, depression, and challenging behaviours. She works closely with families to develop personalised strategies that nurture co-regulation, resilience, and connection. As a Circle of Security International Parenting facilitator, she integrates attachment-based approaches to strengthen parent-child relationships and create emotional safety.

Outside of the therapy room Jacquie can be found chasing her three young children at the beach, daydreaming about buying a hobby farm, or escaping to yoga class for a hit of peace amongst the happy chaos.
